Can we observe any acclimation processes of root respiration? Hopefully I can find species-specific thermal acclimation evidence from glasshouse experiments (2019.5.9).
Tree mortality and the coarse dead woods…it means biologically death for tree, but there are living organisms…microbes and decompsition…What is the exact role of the dead woods in carbon cycles as a carbon sink or source? It definitely contributes to stable carbon pools and soil carbon sequestration slowly. But how much dose it affect carbon fluxes and budget in forests and particularly EAB infested black ash forests. I measure the CO2 and CH4 fluxes from dead woods in black ash wetlands, MI using UGGA systems (2016.07).
